After earning a liberal studies degree from SDSU, Rebecca Joelson signed up for a black and white photography course at San Diego City College, where she found her true calling behind the lens. A year later, she opened her own photography business. Kevin encouraged this exploration because deep down he wanted the same for himself. He graduated from SDSU’s Film & New Media program and landed a job at Sony PlayStation where he edited videos and crafted content for games. While they were both successful individually, there was an undeniable spark when they had a chance to collaborate.
When Rebecca was awarded her first video job, Kevin gave her a crash course in cinematography. Fast forward to 2013 when Kevin began using vacation days from Sony to work with Rebecca on jobs for The History Channel, P&G and New Era. A year later, Kevin officially joined Rebecca as a freelance filmmaker and photographer. Today, The Joelson’s reputation as a photography power couple continues to grow as quickly as their business.
